NUMS Offering Admission to 8th Batch of Certificate in Health Professions Education
The National University of Medical Sciences (NUMS) in Islamabad, Pakistan is offering admission to the 8th batch of its Certificate in Health Professions Education (CHPE) program. The CHPE is a 6-month, 12-credit program that offers creative and innovative instructional strategies to empower students to take charge of their learning under the guidance of expert faculty. The program focuses on key competencies and the application of concepts through practical tasks and activities.
The university has the right to use its discretion in the selection of applicants. Applicants who cannot be accommodated in this course will be considered in the next intake.
Eligibility Criteria:
- 16 years of education in a relevant discipline, such as MBBS/BDS, BS Nursing, or BS AHS
- Valid registration with a regulatory body, wherever applicable

- Online Registration Starts: Wednesday, November 15, 2023
- Last Date for Registration with Regular Fee (Rs. 3000 Non-Refundable): Friday, December 15, 2023 (4:00 PM)
- Registration with Late Fee (Rs. 5000 Non-Refundable): Friday, December 22, 2023 (4:00 PM)
- Display of Merit List and Offer of Admission: Monday, January 8, 2024
- Last Date of Course Fee Submission (Rs. 65,000): Friday, January 19, 2024
- Course Fee Submission with Late Fee (Rs. 65,000 + Rs. 10,000): Rs. 75,000 Friday, January 26, 2024
- Commencement of Program (1st Face to Face): Tuesday, February 6, 2024
- End of Program: Thursday, August 29, 2024
General Instructions for Candidates:
- Visit the NUMS website at www.numspak.edu.pk and fill out the online application form.
- Deposit the application processing fee of Rs. 3000 at any branch of Habib Bank Ltd. (countrywide).
- NOC from the respective organization of the employee is a pre-requisite for confirmation of admission, (if applicable).
Overview of Learning and Instructions:
- One Face to Face: Session of 5 days, in the beginning of program which will be conducted at different stations depending upon the number of applicants from that city, and the surrounding areas.
- Distance Learning: In the form of Distance Learning Study Groups (DLSGs) using Module software for access to learning material, discussion, and assessments of each course.
Assessment:
- Continuous, end-of-course summative and certification exam
