The bank is now hiring for the role of Credit Operations Officer (OG-III / OG-I) in Karachi. Position: Credit Operations Officer (OG-III / OG-I)
Reporting to: Credit Manager, Corporate Commercial SME & Agriculture
Educational/Professional Qualifications:
- Minimum Graduation or equivalent from a local or international university/college/institute recognized by the HEC.
- Candidates holding a Master's degree in Islamic Banking, or relevant certifications or diplomas, will be given preference.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant banking experience in a similar role.
Skills and Expertise Required:
- Teamwork skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Knowledge of banking products, policies, and procedures.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and database management.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Credit Operations Officer, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to the management of Islamic banking credit operations:

Execution of Accounting Entries:Ensure that all accounting entries related to disbursements, adjustments, and transactions are executed according to the approved terms outlined in the facility offer letter, credit memo, minutes, Disbursement Authorization Certificate (DAC), and process flows.

Accruals and Profit Calculations:Manage accrual, re-pricing, profit calculation, rental realization, monitoring, and correspondence for all advances and corporate Sukuk parked at the branch, based on instructions from Relationship Managers (RMs).

Disbursements and Compliance:Ensure that disbursements of advances and investments are within the approved limits at all times, and maintain the posting of all entries in ALMANAC (LMS) and PD Teller systems.

Coordination with Stakeholders:Work closely with customers, RMs, and other departments like CAD to handle payments, aging, and recovery of finance, profit, and rental. Ensure proper management of Takaful/Insurance policies for advances and investments.

Documentation Management:Safeguard financing and security documents and maintain accurate records in both physical and electronic formats. Ensure that all documentation is comprehensive for internal and external audits, as well as Shariah and SBP compliance.

Auditor Assistance and Reporting:Assist both internal and external auditors during audits and provide necessary reports related to advances and investment portfolios. Ensure the accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual statements related to advances and investments.

Shariah Compliance:Ensure compliance with all relevant banking laws, regulations, banking instructions, and Shariah compliance guidelines related to credit operations.

Customer Service:Address customer queries and concerns promptly, ensuring that the branch meets the required customer service standards and maintaining transparency and confidentiality in all credit portfolio handling.

Audit and Compliance:Work closely with the relevant departments to address audit observations, implement corrective actions, and ensure that all processes are completed within the specified turnaround time (TAT).
