NBP is seeking a talented, dedicated, and experienced professional for the role of IT Specialist - CSOC Coordinator (OG-II/OG-I) in its Information Technology division.
Job Details
Position: IT Specialist - CSOC Coordinator
Location: Karachi / Islamabad
Reporting To: Unit Head Security Operations
Employment Type: Contractual (3 years, renewable)
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications:
- Minimum graduation or bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or Engineering from an HEC-recognized institution.
- Candidates with a master’s degree or certifications like GIAC Cyber Threat Intelligence (GCTI), Certified Threat Intelligence Analyst (CTIA), or equivalent will be preferred.
Experience:
- At least 3 years of IT experience, including 1 year in threat intelligence, cybersecurity, or a similar role, preferably in the banking sector.
Key Skills and Expertise:
- Proficiency in cyber threat intelligence frameworks (e.g., MITRE ATT&CK), indicators of compromise (IOCs), and threat intelligence platforms.
- Strong analytical skills to process threat data, identify patterns, and assess risks.
- Familiarity with dark web monitoring, intelligence feeds, and security reports.
- Expertise in network security, malware analysis, and threat detection technologies.
- Basic knowledge of scripting languages like Python is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting complex cybersecurity concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Role and Responsibilities:
As an IT Specialist - CSOC Coordinator, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Gathering and analyzing intelligence from multiple sources to detect potential cyber threats.
- Profiling threat actors and assessing their tools, tactics, and procedures (TTPs).
- Prioritizing threats and providing actionable intelligence to mitigate risks.
- Preparing detailed threat intelligence reports with recommendations for stakeholders.
- Collaborating with the Security Operations Center (SOC), incident response, and vulnerability management teams to defend against emerging threats.
- Assisting incident response teams with insights into indicators of compromise (IOCs) and adversary behavior.
- Using threat intelligence platforms to correlate and analyze threat data.
- Conducting threat briefings and educating stakeholders on the latest threats and mitigation strategies.
- Staying updated on cybersecurity trends and evaluating new tools to enhance the threat intelligence program.
